Singing is NOT a spectator sport!
Singing together in a group is a great way to make new friends, build confidence, and develop a new skill. Ouse Valley Chorus are always looking for keen individuals to join us. It doesn't matter if you can't read music as we use pre-recorded teaching tracks to help you learn the songs. If you don't feel comfortable singing in public don't worry, just come along to the rehearsals. However, barbershop is very addictive and you'll be wanting to sing to everyone in no time at all!
We are affiliated with the British Association of Barbershop Singers (BABS) which you will become a member of too. BABS offers a number of benefits that are available to our members including the national convention and the "Harmony College" workshops (or barbershop bootcamp as I like to call it).
It doesn't matter if you have never sung before. It doesn't matter how young or old you are. So, if you fancy having a go then please come along to one of our rehearsals or send us an email.
